I Saw A Pumpkin
On The Porch
Glowing With A Flame
It Seemed To Stare
To Look At Me
It Was Playing A Strange Game
It Shook And Rattled,
Hopped And Rolled.
Something Was Inside
The pumpkin,
Staring Up At Me,
Was Going For A Ride.
The Ghost Came Out
The Kids All Ran.
But I Stood My Ground.
And I Picked Up
All Of The Sweet
Candy That I Found.

There'S Great Satisfaction In Life That'S Well Spent!"
But He Shrugged Up His Shoulders, This Pumpkin, 'T Is True,
And Acted Just Like Some Bad Children Will Do.
With A Shout And A Whoop, In The Garden They Ran,
Tom And Ned, For They'D Thought Of The Loveliest Plan
To Astonish Their Friends From The City, You See,

On A dreadful Stormy Night
My Dear Tommy Had A Fight
With Great Peter Snookum Snee,
Cat Of Fighting Pedigree.
In This Battle, Sad To Tell,
My Poor Tom, Alas, He Fell,
Ending Thus His Earthly Life
Through The Wicked God Of Strife.
On The Next Night While In Bed,
Sleepless And With Aching Head,
For My Tom, My Precious Pet,
My Poor Eyes With Tears Were Wet.
Suddenly His Voice I Heard,
And In Ghostly Whispers Purred,
"I Am Coming, Mistress, Dear,
Yes, 'Tis True I'm Very Near.
"Good Cat Heaven Have I Left,

For Your Precious Tommy Pet,
I Would Teach You Not To Fret.

With My Ghostly Soft Footfall?

Delighted, O They Most Certainly Are,

Smiling Secretly Behind Hidden Masks,
Satisfied With The Outcome Of Their Tasks.
There Is No Doubt At The Witches’ Success,
Because At Dawn, All Mothers Are Quite Distressed.
It Seems That Every Child In Town,
Has Taken Up A Painful Frown.
For Most Of Their Teeth Are Decayed And Rotten,
Due To The Huge Pile Of Candy They Had Eaten.
Now, You Might Believe This Or You Might Not,
Just Don’t Blame Me When Your Teeth Start To Rot
